TIERS
Selecting Your Membership Tier.
Membership is open to any food or drink business with genuine roots in Donegal. Select the tier that best describes your business.
Food Producers
Farmers, growers, fishers, brewers, bakers and makers
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
- Farm, grow, fish, brew, bake or manufacture within County Donegal
- Use Donegal ingredients where possible; Irish ingredients where Donegal is unavailable
- Be based in Donegal and contributing to the local economy — through your operations, the people you employ, or or your routes to market
- Application is FREE. If approved, annual membership is €100.
Food & Drink Venues
Restaurants, cafés, pubs, hotels, B&Bs, self-catering accommodation, caterers and tourist attractions
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
- Licensed premises must source regularly from a minimum of 7 Donegal producers across food and drink; unlicensed premises from a minimum of 5.
- Clearly identify Donegal produce on menus, specials, or other customer-facing materials
- Champion local sourcing through storytelling, staff knowledge, or supplier visibility
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to buying local and strengthening Donegal's food supply chain
- Application is FREE. If approved, annual membership is €100.
Retail & Tourism Partners
Food shops, gift shops, craft shops stocking member products, tourist attractions and tour guides
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
- Be based in Donegal
- Stock a minimum of 7 food and drink products from Food Coast member producers
- Have a dedicated, branded Food Coast area showcasing Donegal products where possible
- Actively promote and support local producers to customers
- Application is FREE. If approved, annual membership is €100.
Food Experiences
Distilleries, cookery classes, workshops, festivals and food events
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
- Operate an experiential food-related business, festival or event in Donegal
- Donegal food and drink is actively highlighted and celebrated as part of the experience
- Application is FREE. If approved, annual membership is €100.
